A tiny spectacle for a tiny audience
Created by Gale Force Theatre
Step inside Lupinder’s Tent, an interactive performance for kids ages 5-10, where lost things have stories, but these stories are never truly lost. With the help of tabletop puppets, Lupinder’s Tent is a tender and imaginative celebration of connection, care, and the curious journey of lost things trying to find their way home.
Guided by Lupinder—the Bog’s expert in Lost and Found—and her no-nonsense associate Ms. Grismunda, children and grownups alike are drawn into a participatory tale of rediscovery, memory, and magic on a miniature scale. From runaway mittens to forgotten songs, each item in Lupinder’s Tent has a mystery, and each audience member becomes a helper, a seeker, a finder.
Lupinder’s Tent was first performed in March 2024 at Radiant Rural Halls, an arts event organized by this town in small in rural Prince Edward Island. In partnership with the River Clyde Pageant, Lupinder’s Tent was presented at the Breadalbane Community Centre to small scale audiences accompanied by snacks and crafts organized by Becca The Witch. In April 2024, Lupinder’s Tent was performed at Eastern Front Theatre’s Market Micros at the Alderney Landing Farmer’s Market. The project was supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
